Love & Salt

Love & Salt carries forward a rich culinary legacy in Manhattan Beach that began with Cafe Pierre, opened by Guy Gabriele in 1977. After nearly four decades as a beloved South Bay institution, the restaurant space was reimagined in 2014 by Guy and his daughter Sylvie Gabriele, who brought new life to the iconic location with Love & Salt. Inspired by the philosophy that great food needs only two ingredients—love and salt—the restaurant features Italian-inspired dishes with Southern California soul, complemented by an approachable wine list and classic cocktails just steps from the Manhattan Beach Pier.

Chris Feldmeier brings a passion for seasonal ingredients and thoughtful technique to the restaurant’s Italian-inspired menu. Drawing on his experience in some of Southern California’s most respected kitchens, Chris focuses on creating dishes that balance simplicity, flavor, and craftsmanship. At Love & Salt, his cooking reflects the restaurant’s philosophy of letting high-quality ingredients shine while embracing the vibrant spirit of the South Bay.
