Rooted in generations of culinary tradition, Ayara Thai blends royal Thai influences, vibrant spice trade flavors, and Northern Thai farm-to-table sensibilities. Every dish is prepared from scratch using the freshest seasonal ingredients, honoring family recipes while embracing thoughtful, chef-driven innovation.


Vanda and Cathy Asapahu

Vanda and Cathy Asapahu represent the third generation of Ayara Thai’s culinary legacy. Vanda, Head Chef and Managing Owner, spent four years living and working in Thailand, where she revived treasured family recipes while discovering new regional inspirations. She brings those authentic flavors back to the Ayara kitchen, balancing tradition with fresh creativity.

Cathy, who leads the pastry program, is known for blending classic French technique with the vibrant flavors of Thailand. Together, the sisters honor their heritage while adding subtle Southern California influences, continuing their family’s commitment to bold, genuine flavors and uncompromising quality.
