Generous Plates supporting the Altadena and Pasadena Communities through Union Station Homeless Services

The Story

While Masters of Taste is on pause this year, we are excited to introduce Generous Plates—a one-night-only dining experience that brings the same spirit of culinary excellence and community in a more intimate and immersive setting.

Join some of the Los Angeles area’s most talented, talked-about, and generous chefs and beverage experts. At Generous Plates, you’ll get to enjoy a robust cocktail reception, followed by a seated 5-course tasting menu from our city’s finest restaurants, chefs, and brands.

The Event

1001 Rose Bowl Dr, Pasadena, CA 91103

Each intimate setting offers a distinct five-course tasting menu crafted by five innovative local chefs. You can also choose from a full beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks menu from our Beverage Masters.

Generous Plates offers two separate tasting menus each featuring a unique lineup. You will purchase seats in the room of your choice only and will not have the chance to try the other room. Each dining room has limited space, so grab your tickets before they’re gone!

    Frequently Asked Questions

    How does Generous Plates work?

Everyone enjoys the cocktail hour together in the Rose Bowl’s Court of Champions, where you’ll have unlimited access to food trucks, bars, and a delicious cheese spread by Agnes Restaurant and Cheesery. You then go to the dining room of your choice for a seated tasting menu. You will not be able to attend dinner in both dining rooms–only the one printed on your ticket. Dessert and coffee will be available in the Court of Champions. Enjoy on-site or take them to go!

Where does my Generous Plates donation go?

100% of event proceeds from Generous Plates supports Union Station Homeless Services. USHS has served the San Gabriel Valley and beyond for over 50 years and is the lead homeless services provider for SPA 3, as designated by Los Angeles County. In addition to its ongoing housing and homeless prevention work, USHS is providing housing and services for residents that have been directly impacted by the Eaton fire.

Will there be vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options?

While some offerings will be friendly for these diets, guests should not expect a full tasting menu to comply with any dietary restriction. Substitutions and omissions will be politely declined. We are grateful for your understanding!

Can I bring my kids or pets?

This is a 21+ event, with an ID check at the door. Pets are not allowed (service animals are permitted by law).

Can I transfer my tickets or sponsorship table?

Tickets are transferrable. Please email rsvp@ushs.org.

I can no longer attend. Can I get a refund?

There are no refunds on this event, but you can transfer!
