Workshop Kitchen + Bar
Cuisine: Californian
Location: Los Angeles, CA

Workshop Kitchen & Bar made its debut last Fall in Los Angeles on La Brea Avenue nestled between Hancock Park, Hollywood and the Fairfax District. The James Beard award-winning Palm Springs location chefs Michael Beckman and Joe Mourani opened in 2012 inspired the direction for the LA outpost, which pays homage to the beauty of Southern California’s finest market ingredients.
Chef Michael Beckman’s background in French cuisine takes on many of our region’s influences through dishes like dry-aged kampachi crudo in dashi with pickled grapes; California-ranched wagyu steak au poivre with sunchoke confit; fried local oyster mushrooms with an herbed buttermilk sauce; Iberian pork chop with bacon-shallot marmalade, English peas and pea tendrils; and babaganoush with naturally leavened wood-fired bread.
Fairfaced concrete and black leather dominate the airy dining room’s aesthetic with iconic fourteen-foot concrete cocoons for booth seating, an open kitchen, and a private mezzanine overlooking the space.
Cocktails are inventive and whimsical; and the wine list is focused on California and French biodynamic and small producers, grower Champagne, and older vintages of iconic houses.
Workshop is open for dinner five nights a week Tuesday through Saturday and on Door Dash for take out.
