This warm and inviting brewery is named after the Mount Lowe Railway on Echo Mountain, built in 1893. The Mt. Lowe Railway was a scenic mountain railway located to the north of Los Angeles that was in operation until 1938. Mike Reiling and Shawn Nemanich wanted their brewery to capture some of the magic of that railway, and they have done just that. They source high quality ingredients and are “crazy meticulous” about the quality of their products. One of their most popular beers is called The Lowe Down – an IPA that features a strong haze, grapefruit nose, and a generous tropical fruit finish.

Mike Reiling and Shawn Nemanich’s passion for quality craft beer and love of local history served as their inspiration for Mt. Lowe Brewing Company. They are members of the California Craft Brewers Association, LA Brewers Guild, and the Brewer’s Association
