Makku Rice Beer offers a new take on the traditional Korean alcoholic beverage, Makgeolli. For those unfamiliar with Makku – it is a Korean rice beer made with young Gimpo rice, Gapyeong mountain water, and live cultures. It offers a full flavor and creamy body with just a hint of sweetness. They currently offer three distinct and mouthwatering flavors: Original, Mango, and Blueberry.
After a trip to Korea in 2017, Carol Pak returned home inspired to bring an authentic and natural version of Makgeoilli to the United States. With the assistance of her mother, Carol created Makku using traditional ingredients and brewing techniques.
