Hitching Post Wines, along with the Hitching Post II restaurant, is located just outside of Solvang, California. The winery was started by longtime friends Gray Hartley and Frank Ostini, brought together by their love of wine and winemaking. The flagship of their wine collection is the Hitching Post Highliner, one of their Pinot Noirs. The Highliner name is a reference to being the “best of fleet”, inspired by Gray’s experience as a former Alaskan fisherman. Hitching Post also offers a dry Rosé named Pinks, a Syrah, and a Merlot-based red wine named Gen Red.

Gray Harley/Fank Ostini

Gray Hartley and Frank Ostini began making wine together in Santa Barbara, California back in 1979. Their passion and expertise in winemaking has helped Hitching Post Wines grow into an enterprise that produces around 17,000 cases of wine a year.
